We love our Wednesday market in the historic French Market and the shoppers and community we have there. This Thursday evening, November 20 from 4-6:30pm, the French Market will be helping us enter into the holiday season with their annual tree lighting. Stop by before or after your visit to our Thursday market and welcome the holiday spirit into the city! Need a quick supper after? Grab some of Hot Tamale Mama’s great “Dinner’s in the bag!” meals and get dinner on the table after the fun in no time at all.
L’hoste Organic Citrus farm has wonderful Meyer Lemons at market right now and we can’t get enough. Meyer Lemons are rounder and a lighter yellow than traditional lemons and have a milder, sweeter flavor, but still pack a citrus punch! Use them in cocktails, in your tea, squeezed over fresh gulf seafood, or stuffed into a chicken before roasted. Are you a juicer? Let this lemon change the game for you! L’hoste Citrus can be found at our Tuesday and Saturday markets.
This unseasonably chilly weather has everyone craving comfort foods, and what is more comforting than a cozy grilled cheese sandwich? This Tuesday, grab one from Frencheeze Food Truck, and warm yourself right up! Can’t have it without soup? No problem; pick up soup from Vintage Garden Kitchens or Pesto Paul and have a complete meal!
