Right now, folks can come to the Crescent City Farmers Market, swipe their food stamp card (Louisiana Purchase Card) at the Welcome Tent, and the Market will match up to $25 for every market visit per household – enabling families to double their purchases of fresh, local food! This offer is good while supplies last.
Market Match was launched by marketumbrella.org to increase spending power of EBT/food stamp cardholders at our farmers markets, as a part of a strategy to bridge new communities to farmers markets and inform policy makers on the importance of food access programs that include small farmers and fresh local foods.
