We are pleased to announce a new partnership between marketumbrella.org and WWNO-89.9 FM radio to air a weekly taste of all things fresh and fanciful at farmers markets in the Greater New Orleans region.
The first segment aired at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2009 -- just as the popular program The Splendid Table began. As marketumbrella.org executive director Richard McCarthy explains, "We hope to share with public radio listeners the great diversity of products and people who make up the region's farmers market community... From West Bank to East, from South Shore to North, from Louisiana to Mississippi -- our region's markets breathe life and possibilities."
Listen to this week's Farmers Market Minute.
Please join us every Saturday morning at 11:00 am on 89.9 FM or wwno.org.
