Satsumas are now coming in steadily, and this weekend we saw the season's first flats of Ponchatoula strawberries. It's also Crescent Fund season. Twice a year we award funds to projects that reinforce the CCFM’s belief in linking public markets with public good.
Projects must fit into one of two categories: public market vendors and community efforts. During each cycle the Market community selects two projects (one per category) via at market and online voting. Each will receive up to a $500 cash infusion. Selected recipients pay the Market community back via time, talent or treasure. Proposals will be accepted until November 19.
