Greens are back at the market! We couldn't be happier to see bags of kale, collards and mustard greens from Monica's Okra World. After a long, hot summer, these beauties make it feel like Fall is finally here. Greens are great for your vision, packed full of vitamins, and are simply delicious. Pick up a bag this week and be on the lookout for more greens on more tables at the market!

After a hard summer, Tuesday market is filling back up with vendors. Seafood, dairy, vegetables, pastured meats, prepared foods, artisan breads and pastries, plants... the list is endless, making Tuesday a great day to make groceries and enjoy the weather. We're looking forward to seeing more greens and winter squash, like acorn and buttercup in the coming weeks and months. Come out to market and see the first glimpses of Fall!

Join us for Apolline's last week under the GPS tent. This week, Chef Matt Farmer is serving up sweet potato and andouille bisque, pulled pork tacos with queso fresco, pickled red onion, cilantro and spanish rice (veggie-friendly option also available), and strawberry Arnold Palmers. Yum!

When the summer heat starts to die down, we love to get outdoors. With the bayou nearby, bike paths on the roads and delicious food at market, what's not to love about Fall Thursdays? Pick up everything you need to grill out in this grogeous weather. Grab shrimp or fish, along with pesto for a quick marinade, a couple of squash, some cucumbers for a salad, a baguette and you are all set! Maybe bottle of wine from Cork and Bottle? This weather is just begging to be enjoyed, and dining al fresca is the best way we know to celebrate!

Happy Birthday, CCFM! This Saturday we celebrate the market's 17th birthday. Come fete with us from 8 til noon. Enjoy birthday cake from Bittersweet Confections, gelato from La Divina Gelateria, free French Market Coffee and live music from the Delta Drifters, starting at 10am. We're also celebrating the life of Jim Core with Domenica Chef Alon Shaya cooking up Jim's famous Kale Jambalaya. Come rejoice and remember all the people who've help make our market what it's so beautifully grown to be.
