Tuesday Market, October 30, 2012 | 9 am - 1 pm

Uptown New Orleans | 200 Broadway Street at the River

With the holidays right around the corner, it's pie season! If you don't care to or have time to bake your own (check out our Recipe of the Week), Mrs. Frances "the Pie Lady" Chauvin has you covered. In addition to all the wonderful pies she usually offers, Mrs. Chauvin will have mincemeat and apple-cranberry pies available at the first three Tuesday markets in November. Mrs. Chauvin won't be at market this Tuesday, but please call her at 985-345-7515 to pre-order your holiday pies.

Woody's Fish Tacos and Chef La of FĂȘte are back for their final week under the Green Plate Special Tent with blackened fish, shrimp, pork or black bean tacos, plus Chef La's inventive sides. After this Tuesday, get your fix by liking their Facebook pages to see where they'll be cooking next.

Thursday Market, November 1, 2012 | 3 pm - 7 pm

Mid-City New Orleans | 3700 Orleans Avenue at the Bayou

At the Crescent City Farmers Market, we spend a lot of time thinking about food - so much time, that we sometimes forget to apply sunscreen before heading out to the market. When the Tulane Department of Dermatology let us know that November is National Healthy Skin Month, it got our wheels a-turning. This Thursday, we're happy to welcome the Tulane Department of Dermatology and Dr. Andrea Murina to the market to do skin checks and hand out sunscreen and important skin care information. Join us and learn how to keep your skin healthy!

Saturday Market, November 3, 2012 | 8 am - 12 noon

Downtown New Orleans | 700 Magazine Street at Girod

Last Saturday was a special Marketeers treat with our annual Market Mash (check out our CCFM Facebook page for pictures)! Join us this Saturday for our regularly scheduled November Marketeers activity. We'll be making corn husk dolls, just as the Native Americans and the early Europeans settlers did. We're also excited to welcome vendor Timmy Perrilloux and his gorgeous fall crop to the market.

Recipe of the Week

If talk of pies has you craving a sweet treat and you can't wait for Mrs. Chauvin's next visit to our market the first Tuesday of November, give this delicious, seasonal Satsuma Cane Syrup Pecan Pie a try!
