Bring Your Appetite to CCFM’s Moonlight Market!

Fresh & Local

Our Moonlight Market fundraiser is less than two weeks away and our stomachs are starting to rumble with excitement! We have 20 of our favorite New Orleans restaurants on the bill, each bringing market inspired dishes for all in attendance to enjoy. From Domenica’s Sweet Potato Tortellini with Satsuma Brown Butter to MOPHO’s Market Vegetable Som Tam Salad, to Cochon / the Link Restaurant Group’s Goat Cheese Custard with Beets and Crispy Sorghum, and much more, there will be plenty of fare for all to share. We won’t leave you parched either. There will be plenty of local grain and cane to glass cocktails and refreshments pouring from our local craft beer garden to keep you satisfied. Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time and prepare yourself and your stomach for a great night in the Moonlight! pick of the week

Pick of the Week: Apples!

Fall is finally here, and boy is it sweet! Not only is the weather refreshing, but seeing the crops start to change is a much appreciated treat too. Part of this parade of fall produce marching into market is apples! Apples are now in full swing and you can find them at all three markets most weeks from Cherry Creek Orchards. We’ve been really enjoying the sweet and crisp Arkansas Blacks they’ve been bringing and can’t wait to see what other varieties they’ll be coming out with these next few weeks! Not only are they a great snack when you’re running out the door, but apples are known for their anti-oxidant properties and are a great help in regulating blood-sugar levels. It really is true, an apple a day will keep the doctor away. They’ll keep you smiling and enjoying this beautiful Fall weather too, all the way ‘til satsuma season!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

It’s been a great September at our Tuesday market with Seed as our GPS vendors. They’ve been pleasing customers and vendors alike with their vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free twists on all sorts of dishes from, vegan gumbo to their fresh gluten-free zucchini pasta. We can’t wait to see what they’re going to bring out on their last market this Tuesday! Get ready for La Cocinita next month!
