pick of the week

Pick of the Week: Hothouse Tomatoes!

We’ve had some bitterly cold days the past few weeks, and as you can tell when you come out to market, the produce is not as bountiful as it was even a couple weeks ago. But as we work our way through winter and into spring, we’re reminded of how grateful we are to have farmers growing crops in green houses! Both of our hothouse tomato vendors are back at market and with some wonderfully vibrant looking tomatoes and peppers for all of us to enjoy. Venture out to market on any day of the week and you’ll more than likely find either Tomotts or Cajun Growers out with these impressive hothouse crops. Be sure to come out to market and pick some up for yourself!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

St. Clair is back again making another batch of delicious pizzas for us at our Uptown market this Tuesday. If you haven’t had a chance to come out and try their pizzas yet, don’t delay! They’re made to order with fresh market ingredients. Does it get any better?

Recipe of the Week

All this talk about St. Clair’s delicious pizzas is making us hungry. Craving some pizza yourself and can’t wait until market tomorrow? Try out this Focaccia Pizza recipe to take care of that craving tonight, or wait until Wednesday and pick up some Focaccia from our very own Challah At Me at our French Quarter market to do it right!
