Cabbage Steaks

Serves 4

Serving size: 2 steaks



1 large head cabbage

1 ½ tablespoons olive oil

2 to 3 large garlic cloves, smashed


Black pepper

Cooking spray



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Pull off any browned or dirty leaves on the outside of the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick slices.
  3. Rub both sides of the cabbage with smashed garlic clove.
  4. Drizzle the oil over both sides of the cabbage, and rub over the cabbage so that each slice is coated evenly. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  5. Roast for 30 minutes, flip the cabbage over, and roast for 30 minutes more. Serve hot.
