Friends of the Market Perk Week!

Fresh & Local

Attention Friends of the CCFM: It's perk week! For those who don’t know about it, Friends of the CCFM is a membership-based program that supports the CCFM. Memberships start at $20/year. Friends receive market goodies and shopping perks throughout the year, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful vendors. Every third week of the month, Friends of the CCFM can expect to receive special deals from participating vendors at all four of our markets. If you haven’t signed up yet, come out to market this week and take advantage some of the benefits of being an official Friend of the CCFM! For more information, click here.

Pick of the Week:
Knife Sharpening is Back!

Our dear knife sharpener Doyle Hanson has been away from market for the past month and a half as many of you may know. Well he’s finally back now and we’re so glad! You can find Doyle at every Tuesday market and every other Saturday market. He was just at market this past Saturday so plan to catch him not this Saturday, but the next. Whether it’s knives, scissors, or some other blade you need sharpened, Doyle’s one of the best in the biz and can take care of most any sharpening job, big or small. So pick up those dull kitchen tools and bring them with you to market to see the knife doctor, Doyle Hanson!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

L’enfant Terrible’s market fresh quesadillas were delicious last week! If you were around last week you may have seen Chef Matthew walking back and forth from the tent picking up more fresh produce as the day went on. That’s because if it’s not fresh, it’s not going on a plate according to the L’enfant philosophy. So if you’re into procuring a real ‘market-fresh’ lunch tomorrow be sure to stop by market and pick up a plate for yourself!

Indian Springs and Isabel still have watermelons at market so it’s not too late to pick one up and try out one of our favorite summer recipes courtesy of the late, great Chef Jamie Shannon!
