Fresh food, faces, and vendors this week!

Fresh & Local

Market goodies to watch out for this week include fresh red beans, Japanese eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, and pickling cucumbers. Stop by the Tuesday market to learn how to turn these field-fresh red beans into New Orleans style hummus. Chef Stefin Pasternak and his students from the Edible Schoolyard at Green Charter School will be doing a cooking demo starting at 9:30am.

Pick of the Week:
Caha Bones!

Find something for you and your four-legged friend this week at the farmers market. On Saturday, our guest vendor Caha Bones will be bringing dog treats fit for mammalian royalty. But don’t forget to get yourself something special too! From berries to breakfast burritos, we’ve got you covered.

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

Its Chef Jason Goodenough’s last week serving us the best lunch in town. His commitment brings him to the front lines of the New Orleans food scene each week at the farmers market. His restaurant, Carrollton Market, is a phenomenal show of talent, finesse, and appreciation for the food grown by our very own CCFM farmers. Stop by for your last chance to get Carrollton Market’s lunch specials at the Tuesday market.
