The auction items at Crescent City Farmers Market's Moonlight Market fundraiserare as tempting as the long line of dishes and cocktails from the more than 20 participating restaurants and bars.
The annual fundraiser is Saturday (Oct. 8) at 725 Magazine St., from 7 to 10 p.m., with a patron party at 6 p.m. The event features farm-to-table dishes, farm-to-glass cocktails, local beer and spirits and a performance by the Brass-A-holics. The event also features a silent auction.
Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the field of public markets for public good. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.
The Crescent City Farmers Market operates weekly year-round in four New Orleans neighborhoods. The CCFM hosts nearly 80 local small farmers, fishers and food producers, and more than 100,000 shoppers annually.
