All Fig-ured Out.

Fresh & Local

It’s hard to believe we’re halfway through June. The good news is - figs are here!

Did you know figs are “functional foods?” That means they have benefits beyond basic nutrition and may prevent disease or promote health. Fig trees are one of the most widely planted trees in Louisiana. They require little care and produce sweet and juicy figs every summer! Once you have your figs, eat them often because they are nutrient-dense, easy to pack, and make the perfect snack. And the best part is, Mandy Lilly is back at the Tuesday and Saturday markets to fulfill your fig craving. Now it’s all fig-ured out!
