Don’t miss the upcoming screening of the PBS series, Unnatural Causes, followed by a community discussion led by Mr. AumRa Frezel. The 30-minute screening will introduce viewers to the series, stimulate conversation and is open to the public. It will be held Tuesday, June 3rd at 6 PM, located at the Ashé Cultural Arts Center, 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Light refreshments will be served.
The documentary series, Unnatural Causes, investigates the root causes of health and illness in order to contribute to and reframe the conversation around health in the United States. We live in a country that used to be one of the world leaders in health indicators like life expectancy, but in the last few decades we have only succeeded in attaining one of the worst disease outcomes in the world for an industrialized nation. Why? How is it possible that a country rich in resources and technology would have a relatively poor health status for its population?
