Title: Cooking Up a Storm at Market - Saturday, November 15

After Hurricane Katrina destroyed uncounted family treasures, the Times-Picayune food pages helped hundreds of readers reclaim some of their deeply cherished culinary heritage.

"Cooking Up a Storm: Recipes for Recovery from the Times-Picayune of New Orleans""Cooking Up a Storm: Recipes for Recovery from the Times-Picayune of New Orleans" features 250 recipes from home cooks and chefs, and tells the stories of those who lost these recipes and those who so generously shared them. The book was edited by Marcelle Bienvenu, author of the popular "Cooking Creole" column and one of our favorite books,"Who's Your Mama, Are You Catholic, and Can You Make a Roux?," and Judy Walker, food editor of the Times-Picayune. Marcelle and Judy join us at market this Saturday to sign their fabulous new book, visit with shoppers and dole out expert cooking advice - just in time for all that holiday entertaining; 9:30-11:30am.
