Tuesday, July 28, our friends at Hollygrove Market & Farm are holding an event to raise funds for the completion of their not-for-profit micro-urban farm, educational center, and community supported agriculture (CSA) market, which purchases fresh, local produce from several farmers at our CCFM. The event, featuring food and specialty cocktails from an impressive list of local restaurants, live music, farm tours, door prizes and a silent auction, will be held on the HM&F’s grounds, located at 8301 Olive Street (behind the post office on Carrollton Ave.) from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $35/person and can be purchased Tuesday, July 21 and Saturday 25 at the CCFM, or by contacting Bill Pastellak at firstname.lastname@example.org or 724-549-4365.
Bayona; Café Degas; Cochon/Butcher; Boucherie!; Esses Food, Herbsaint;
Huevos, Iris; le petite grocery, Lilette; MiLa; Restaurant Patois, and
Ye Olde College Inn will prepare and serve dishes featuring fresh, locally
grown ingredients. . Look for your favorite mixologists from Bayona,
Butcher/Cochon/Herbsaint, Iris, MiLa and Patois serving up specialty
cocktails using fresh fruit and other local ingredients. NOLA Brewing
Co. and others will pour beers while John Lisi and Delta Funk perform
live with special guest performers.
Guests of the event are invited to tour the farm, groove to the music, taste the fare of local celebrated chefs, enjoy locally brewed beers and creative cocktails, get Chef autographed copies of recipe books, participate in the silent auction, and win door prizes.
The Hollygrove Market and Farm is a non-profit CSA-style market selling locally-grown and organic produce, as well as a training location for residents interested in organic urban farming. HM&F is centrally located in the heart of the Carrollton-Hollygrove community at 8301 Olive Street, New Orleans, LA 70118.
