We're happy to welcome Kenny and Jamie Mauthe of Progress Milk Barn back to the Tuesday CCFM. In addition to milk, they should also have butter, Creole cream cheese and Jamie's amazing Creole Cream Cheese Cheesecake this Tuesday. Plus, look for glass bottled milk soon! Stop by to welcome them back, congratulate them and try their delicious dairy products.

We've been enjoying having the chefs from the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group with us at the market this month. This week has Red Fish Grill under the big tent with roasted pumpkin bisque with spiced apple butter, pulled beef brisket on brioche with horseradish cheddar, onions and smokey mayo, and pecan Creole cream cheese brownies.

Mid-City New Orleans | 3700 Orleans Avenue at the Bayou

Fall means grilling season! Why not grab some fresh fish or shrimp to throw on the grill? Clara Gerica has just the seafood for a great outdoor dinner. Add wheels of eggplant or squash to the grill next to shrimp skewers. Doesn't get much better than that, does it? Wait, it does! A baguette from Forte Grove is the perfect accompaniment!

Saturday Market, October 22, 2011 | 8 am - 12 noon

Downtown New Orleans | 700 Magazine Street at Girod

This weather just demands outdoor time. Come spend a Saturday morning with us at the CCFM. Coffee, pastries from Lisa Barbato and Windfield Farms, fresh squeezed juice from Amanda Carjaval and maybe even a praline from Wayne Brown say "Wake up and enjoy the weekend!" With plenty of seating for people watching, make us part of your Saturday morning routine. The market is for more than just shopping - it's for building community and enjoying our fair and funky city. See you Saturday!
