Then mark your calendars for Café NOMA's “Art You Can Eat” 12-week summer series featuring the artful culinary creations of Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group chefs and special guests. Fridays from June 8 to August 24, at 7 PM, chefs from Café NOMA, Ralph's on the Park, Red Fish Grill, café b, and Heritage Grill will lead interactive, educational cooking events celebrating NOMA exhibitions and the culinary arts of New Orleans. Chris Gerica, daughter of CCFM Louisiana seafood vendor Pete & Clara Gerica, served up their family's freshest catch at her GPS debut last Tuesday. She's back this week with more fresh caught local seafood, and maybe some more Gerica family members in tow!

Everyone has been enjoying the Eat Local Challenge activities on Saturdays in June and this week should be no exception. Saturday morning the market will be buzzing with a beekeeping discussion with Paw Paw’s Honey (Did you know his son is a bee keeper too?). Come by and hear about how to start beekeeping and why it’s so important. Pick up a jar of local honey while you’re there and start thinking sweet thoughts about bees and their impact on our food, community and environment.
