Crescent City Farmers Market will not be open Thursday, July 4, but we will be Uptown Tuesday morning for all your party needs. We have beautiful watermelons, both large and small, meat and veggies for grilling, shrimp, pies, and so much more! Come by and get stocked up before the big day, then refill your fridge on Saturday (or keep the party going and restock!). We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and delicious Independence Day.

Pick of the Week: Watermelon!

Summer is fully here and that means watermelons are gracing the tables and trucks of many of our vendors. Watermelons, in addition to being delicious, are a fantastic source of vitamin C, beta-carotene, and vitamin B. They are very high in water content, so a perfect choice for rehydrating after a hot summer day. Watermelons are making an appearance at our Tuesday and Saturday markets, so pick up a few this week and taste summer at it’s peak!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

This month we welcome Red Gravy under the Green Plate Special tent. This Italian restaurant, located in the CBD, will be serving up your choice of cool zucchini basil bisque, served with Bellegarde Bakery bread, mini meatball sliders with side of cool pasta primavera, goat confit from Rockin R Dairy, served on balsamic dressed greens, and topped with candy cane beet slaw, and peach cobbler for dessert. If this is just the first week’s menu, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the month holds!
