Beat the August heat at CCFM

<!-- FRESH & LOCAL --><table width="560" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="padding-top: 20px;"><tbody><tr><td width="380" valign="top"><h3 style="color: #363; font-size: 16px; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-align:left;text-transform: uppercase;">Fresh & Local</h3><p style="margin:0;">With the heat of Summer bearing down on us, our mantra has been “hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.” High humidity and August heat mean most of us need a lot more water than we normally take in. We are made up of 50-75% water, so it makes sense that we need to drink more during these sweaty months. One way to make hydration fun is to add some fresh herbs to your glass or pitcher. At CCFM, we like to add cucumbers and mint to a pitcher of cold water, but basil, ginger, or your favorite fruit are all a welcome addition. We want everyone hydrated at market, so remember that we always have water at welcome tent. If you forget your cup, you can buy a fun reusable CCFM cup for your hydration needs. Keep cool out there, y’all!</p></td><td width="180" valign="bottom"><p style="padding: 0; margin:0; text-align: right;"><a href="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/"><img src="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/_email/core/ccfm-fresh-local.png" alt="ccfm | fresh & local" style="display:block;" width="180" height="80" /></a></p></td></tr></tbody></table><!-- FRESH & LOCAL IMAGE --><table width="560" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="padding-top: 30px;"><tbody><tr><td width="560"><p style="padding: 0; margin:0; text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/"><img src="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/_email/fresh/fresh-local-08-12-2013.jpg" alt="fresh & local image" style="display:block;" width="560" height="220" /></a></p></td></tr></tbody></table><!-- PICK OF THE WEEK --><table width="560" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="padding-top: 30px;"><tbody><tr><td width="140" valign="top"><p style="padding: 0; margin:0; text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/"><img src="http://www.crescentcityfarmersmarket.org/_email/picks/pick-08-12-2013.jpg" alt="pick of the week" style="display:block;" width="140" height="120" /></a></p></td><td width="420" valign="top"><h3 style="color: #363; font-size: 16px; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-align:left;text-transform: uppercase;">Pick of the Week: Chicken!</h3><p style="margin:0;">Chicken is known for it’s high protein content, but it is also a great pick for other nutritional benefits. High in both amino acids and minerals, cooking with chicken can be a delicious and healthy pick for your mealtime. In the summertime, we love it grilled with a honey glaze, or added to a veggie-kabob for a burst of flavor. Pastured raised chicken has more flavor and nutrients than conventional chicken, so shopping with CCFM vendors is good for your taste-buds and your health! Pick up a whole chicken from Briarhill Farms on Tuesday, or Bartlett Farms at our Saturday market.</p></td></tr></tbody></table><!-- GREEN PLATE SPECIAL --><table width="560" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="padding-top: 30px;"><tbody><tr><td width="420" valign="top"><h3 style="color: #363; font-size: 16px; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-align:left;text-transform: uppercase;">Tuesday’s Green Plate Special</h3><p style="margin:0;"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/PurlooNewOrleans" target="_blank" style="color:#580; font-weight:bold;">Purloo’s</a> offerings were such a hit last week, chef Ryan is bringing them back for a second week!
