     Title: Roko’s Charbroiled Oysters

Try this recipe for Roko's Charbroiled Oysters, courtesy of deeply missed market vendor, Croatian oysterman Roko Tvrdeic and his Empire, Louisiana–born wife Patsy.



Melt butter in a saucepan. Add garlic and Creole seasoning; cook slowly until garlic is translucent, approximately 3 - 5 minutes.

Place oysters on a barbeque grill over high heat. Spoon butter mixture over oysters, then put a pinch of the cheeses and parsley on each oyster. Cook for about 5 - 8 minutes or until the oysters have a puffed-up appearance.

Serves 3-6
