What do Boucherie, Peche, Commander’s Palace, and La Petite Grocery all have in common beside being some of our favorite restaurants in town? They’re among the 20 local restaurants and bars participating in our annual Moonlight Market fundraiser coming up Saturday, October 10th! That’s right, 20 spectacular restaurants and bars will be coming together to help us celebrate 20 spectacular years of the Crescent City Farmers Market, and we hope you’ll join us too. Not only will there be excellent food, but plenty of garden-to-glass cocktails and local beers will be flowing while the one and only King James and the Special Men keep the party hopping with the classic sounds of New Orleans R&B. Everything’s in place for a memorable evening honoring the 20th anniversary of the opening of our umbrellas at the corner of Magazine and Girod, so be sure to buy your tickets today and join us from 7-10pm at the Moonlight Market. Pick of the Week:
Wednesday Market!

Have you been to our Wednesday market in the French Market lately? Things are looking good! Most Wednesdays from 2-6pm you can find Indian Springs with plenty of produce, Kay Brandhurst with loads of fresh shrimp (can you believe they’re $2.50/lb?!), Peeps Farms with fresh non-GMO chicken eggs, and products from some of our favorite value-added producers such as Girls Gone Vegan, French Pickler, and Locally Preserved. As always, we’ll validate your parking for up to two hours when you park in the French Market parking lot. Come on out and see what’s going on this Wednesday at the French Market!

It’s been a pleasure having L’enfant Terrible out at market as our Green Plate Special vendor for the month of September. Come on out this Tuesday and pick up a market-fresh quesadilla for yourself.
