All kinds of stone fruits!

Fresh & Local

If you’ve visited the farmers market recently, you’ve surely seen the amazing collection of peaches. Now you can find two other types of stone fruit at the market – white nectarines and plums! These mouthwatering fruit are perfect for the summer. To ripen stone fruit, they should be placed stem-up at room temperature. Once ripened, these fruit emit a sweet scent and should be stored in the refrigerator. Ripe plums can last in the fridge for up to five days while peaches and nectarines have a shorter life span. Stone fruit can be eaten in a variety of ways, whether eaten out of hand, roasted, or poached. Check out our recipe of the week which makes fantastic use of these summer delights.
