Beet, drink, and be merry!

You are what you beet! The root vegetable is bountiful at the market and we have five ways to prepare them.

  1. Raw. Shave them thin and turn beets into a slaw salad.
  2. Roasted. Add green onion, feta cheese, and a spritz of lemon juice for a tasty side dish.
  3. Juiced. Add apple and parsley for a nutritious and delicious beet juice.
  4. Hummus. Create a colorful and healthy dip using beets. Here’s an example!
  5. Pickled. Grab them now and enjoy them later with pickling beets.

Saturday shoppers rejoice! Esses Foods will be back Saturday mornings with their noodles and sauces. You can now get their products at both our Tuesday and Saturday markets.

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special:
Casa Borrega

We’re starting 2017 off right with local favorite, Casa Borrega. They’ll be serving breakfast and lunch as the Green Plate Special throughout the month of January. Enjoy them at the Tuesday market from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
