Spring produce season is upon us! Brussels sprouts, radishes, kale, lettuce, strawberries, carrots, onions, swiss chard, fennel and so much more. Stay on the lookout, because fava beans are about to hit our markets too!

Pick of the Week:
Bean Madness

The Bean Madness continues with the Sweet 6-Bean! The top 16 restaurants are now competing for the title. You can be part of the fun by taste testing and voting for your favorite red beans. This week’s taste challenge will be Saturday, March 25th from 10-12pm at our downtown market, 750 Carondelet St. To learn more click here.

Fennel

Fennel is fresh at the market this month. It’s a crunchy and sweet vegetable filled with vitamin C and fiber. It’s taste is definitely unique - some say it tastes like licorice! Be sure to give it a try.

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special:

Lahpet is back as the Green Plate Special, and this time they’re serving with Marjie’s Grill! That’s right, you get two Green Plate Special options this week! Come by the Tuesday Market at 200 Broadway Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the goods.
