Check out our weekly Green Plate Special at the Tuesday Market. Each month we invite a local chef to be our chef-in-residence. They dream up fresh, affordable plate lunches that showcase the local, seasonal ingredients available at the CCFM. Meet a friend for lunch, or pick up dinner & take a night off from cooking. The city's top chefs shop at the Market. Each month, they also take turns cooking there too.

September 23rd

We continue to be in awe of Seed’s innovative use of veggies on their Green Plate Special menu. The raw veggie spaghetti was delicious, and we are excited to see what they bring this Tuesday!

September 16th

Seed brought some delicious vegan gumbo with them last Tuesday, changing the way many of us think about this southern staple. Omnivours, vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free folks alike will get a kick out of the dishes they’ve been serving up, so if you fall in any of these categories be sure to come on out and grab a plate this Tuesday!

September 9th

Last Tuesday Seed came out with a twist on the classic B.L.T., their C.L.T. with coconut chips, lettuce and tomato. To all those who had a chance to try it, you know what we mean when we say it was hit! We’re looking forward to seeing what Seed is going to be serving up this Tuesday. Don’t miss out!

September 2nd

We’re very pleased to welcome Seed as our Green Plate Special vendors for the month of September! Seed is a newly opened restaurant in the Lower Garden District focused on vegetarian and vegan cuisine and on growing a fresh and sustainable dining experience grounded in New Orleans taste. They’re open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, and were recently voted the best Vegetarian/Vegan menu by Gambit’s Best of New Orleans 2014! We’re excited to see what dishes they’ll be bringing to market. We’re certain it’ll be a treat for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Come hungry!
