Check out our weekly Green Plate Special at the Tuesday Market. Each month we invite a local chef to be our chef-in-residence. They dream up fresh, affordable plate lunches that showcase the local, seasonal ingredients available at the CCFM. Meet a friend for lunch, or pick up dinner & take a night off from cooking.

It’s been such a treat having Lahpet out as our GPS vendors for this month! They’ve given all of us a truly authentic Burmese culinary experience and while we’re sad to see them go we’re excited for their last market this Tuesday! If you haven’t yet tried the food, come out and grab some at market tomorrow before they’re gone. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and keep up to date with where they’ll be cooking next. Next up under the GPS tent is Pizza Domenica, so get ready for a great July!

We love having Lahpet out at market as our Green Plate Special vendors this month! They knocked it out the park last week with their lunch menu. From Thai Grilled Chicken to Catfish Laab and fresh Papaya salad everything on the menu was delicious. If you’ve yet to come out and get a taste of Burma with Lahpet, don’t miss out! Lahpet continues to impress us every week with their delicious Burmese lunch offerings under the Green Plate Special tent. Last week shoppers and staff alike were raving about the delicious curried catfish they prepared as well as the pickled ginger salad. Mmmmm. Can’t wait to see what they’ll be preparing next week! It was such a treat having Lahpet out at market last Tuesday! The pickled tea leaf salad was delicious especially when washed down with the fresh coconut water they were serving up. Can’t wait to see what they’ll be dishing out tomorrow, but if last week was any indication, you’d be wise to come out hungry and get a taste of Burma for yourself!

We’re very excited to welcome the popular Burmese food pop-up, Lahpet, to the GPS tent for the month of June with their delicious salads, curries, and sweets! The Lahpet team seek to bring the flavors of Burma to New Orleans with traditional, exotic flavors and techniques which are true to the country’s street cuisine. Not only is their food good, but a portion of all sales benefit the One World Family International non-profit and their work with Burmese refugee communities. Need any more reasons to come out tomorrow and grab some lunch with us at market? Hope to see you at the GPS tent!
