Picks of the Week:

April 20th is Spring Fest at CCFM

In addition to Moonlight Market, we’ll also have a ton of fun activities at the Thursday Mid-City market on April 20th you don’t want to miss!

  • We’re bringing Yoga back to market! Valerie McMillan, founder of The Ohm Well, will host yoga from 4 pm to 6 pm with sessions starting at the top of each hour.
  • Sample seasonal produce and farmhouse dairy (while supplies last)!
  • Hula hoops! Need we say more?
  • Huckleberry Creamery will have adorable baby goats – come see for yourself; they’re even cuter in person!
  • Local food producers and food businesses bring fresh, delicious food to the market (as always!)

The Thursday Mid-City market is right next to Moonlight Market, so you don’t have to choose! Come to market and stay for the event, or wander between the two. We hope to see you there!

Vendor of the Week:

Applied Arts Coffee

Meet Applied Arts Coffee, a brand new vendor set to join the Thursday Mid-City Market! After a temporary move to Portland in November to start Applied Arts Coffee, they are excited to be back in NOLA. Carefully sourced and roasted with sharp attention to flavor, their coffee is one of the day’s simple pleasures. Applied Arts Coffee offers a range of specialty grade, single origin coffees and house blends at varying roast levels – including two options from their family coffee farm in Quindio Colombia. Family owned and run by chef Baruch Rabasa, Applied Arts Coffee sources its beans from ethical and environmentally-conscientious importers before roasting them in small batches in New Orleans, LA. Alongside an appreciation for its refinement, it’s the everyday-ness of coffee that they celebrate - whether it be a savored morning brew, a midday pick-me-up, or the finishing touch of a delicious meal. Be sure to swing by Thursday market and give a warm welcome to Applied Arts Coffee!
