Joe and his wife Margaret run Joe Fekete’s Family Farm outside of Amite, Louisiana with the help of their kids, Jessica, Amanda, Sarah, and Nathan. After retiring from a career in education, Joe wanted to return to his roots and reconnect with the earth. Farming has allowed him to settle into his niche: playing in the dirt. By growing seasonal produce and embracing the cyclical nature of the land, Joe Fekete’s Family Farm helps to restore balance in nature and in his local community.
