Sometimes there's nothing better than a good sweet potato. Not only does this delicious tuber enhance dishes ranging from savory to sweet, it's also chock full of disease-fighting vitamins and minerals. If you're an athlete, sweet potatoes are a great addition to your diet for their cramp-busting potassium. Additionally, their high level of vitamin A make sweet potatoes great for your skin. Stock up on this local superfood by visiting Indian Springs Farmers Co-op's table at our Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday market.

Join Pam's email list for weekly updates on her rotating menu of take-home dinners, like jumbo pasta shells stuffed with spinach, ricotta and mozarella with parmesan cream and red sauce.

Who doesn't like butterflies and hummingbirds? We love them, which is why we buy butterfly and hummingbird attracting plants from Tuesday and Saturday market vendor, Jim Mizell. This Saturday, Jim (and all of his lovely plants) will be at Mizell Farm for their annual Hummingbird and Butterfly Festival. The festival runs from 8am to 5pm and features music, access to the Mizell's butterfly flight house, nature trails and more. Visit their Mizell Farm's website for more info.
