Show our community your cooking skills!

Fresh & Local

We’re up to our ears in produce at the farmers market right now! Our only issue is how do we cook it all? In the past we’ve had chefs show us their famous recipes, cookbook authors whipping up fresh takes on old classics, and even market staff showing the community their culinary prowess. But now we want you! If you’ve got a recipe you want to share with the farmers market, we’ll buy the fresh ingredients for you to cook at the Saturday market. Shoot us an email for more details. Until then, buy some fresh market goods and get to practicing!

Pick of the Week:
Samuel S. Green Charter School!

Each month, a team of students from Samuel S. Green Charter School comes out to sell gorgeous produce at our Wednesday market in the French Market. In the past they’ve sold a variety of hot peppers, crisp greens, tangy pickles, scented bath salts, dried herbs, and more. Come support the students this Wednesday!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

We have the distinct pleasure of hosting Baru at every Tuesday market in April. They’ll be serving a variety of scrumptious Latin Caribbean tapas that satisfy your desire for fresh, adventurous cuisine. Chef Edgar loves choosing market fresh ingredients to incorporate into his playful recipes that we know you’ll love!
