We need your support! It takes hundreds of staff hours to bring 75 local food producers you love to the Crescent City Farmers Market each week. Not only do we conduct farm visits to ensure that you have the best locally grown, raised and made food from our region, but we also run a small currency system to make sure that you can use your credit/debt and EBT cards at the CCFM. We need your support to continue our innovative children’s programs, such as our Meet Me at the Market school field trips and Marketeer kids club. Please don’t forget to make your year-end, tax deductible gift of $50, $100 or $250 to the Crescent City Farmers Market online or at the CCFM welcome tent. And thank you for supporting the Crescent City Farmers Market!

Market will be open Tuesday for last minute shopping but closed Wednesday, Dec 31 and Thursday, Jan 1. We reopen Jan 3 for your New Years resolution shopping needs and can’t wait to see you in 2015!

Pick of the Week: Greens!

You can’t have a New Years meal without black-eyed peas and greens for fortune and good luck in the new year. Make a traditional and tasty lunch January 1st with greens from market! We have a large variety this year, from staples like collards and mustards to new favorites like bok choy, tat soi and more. Pick some up Tuesday and be ready for Thursday!

Tuesday’s Green Plate Special

We are sad to see Canal Street Bistro go after this week, but we are so thankful for their delicious meals each Tuesday. Enjoy their food year-round by visiting their beautiful mid-city restaurant located at 3903 Canal St. Be sure to come by market for one more market meal from Canal St. Bistro, and be on the look out for St. Clair’s Pizza next week!
