We finally have the long-awaited and much anticipated fava beans! Get them while you can because their season will be gone before you know it. So what’s the big deal about these vibrant beans? In some cultures they’re considered a symbol of good fortune. They were the central food of the St. Joseph Day altar, as the crop thrived and kept the Sicilians fed. Poche Family Farm will have snow peas at the Tuesday market! Mild in flavor, they can be eaten raw or cooked. They’re often cooked in stir fries, so gather a few veggies and enjoy!
